Biography

I was born on July 16, 1975 in Alba Iulia, Alba. Since I was little I was fond of drawing and at the age of six I made my first comic strip.

At the beginning of 1986, I tried to turn into a novel the comics I was working on, but I did not finish the task. However, in 1987, I wrote a short-story, The Bermuda Triangle, which I sent to a SF contest. I continued to write stories from time to time and, at the end of 1988, I started to make a self-published magazine, Galacticus, containing stories, comics, and scientific articles.

In the spring of 1990 I came to the conclusion that I did not have the talent to write and decided to quit. The decision lasted till the end of the summer. In 1991, four stories written by me were to enter the Top of a radio contest. Also in 1991 I published a revised version of The Bermuda Triangle in no. 17 of a local newspaper. That was the year I fell in love with rock music.

In 1993, I graduated from the high school of mathematics and physics, then, in 1997, I got my management diploma at “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj Napoca. In the last year there, I read Daodejing, and I was glad to discover a philosophy that described the world as I saw it.

Returned to Alba Iulia, I got married and worked as a system engineer, programmer, then in marketing and sales, and also as a caricaturist. In 2000 my daughter was born.

Between 1992 and 2000, I published stories in various printed magazines, then, since 2002, I moved to the virtual environment where I headed the Wordmaster site in 2003.

In 2004 I managed to publish a first volume of SFFH stories, followed shortly by a second one and a novel. Also in 2004 I got divorced, and in 2009 I started working at a recovery center for children with disabilities. In 2010 I got remarried, and the following year we opened our own business with handmane products and flowers.

After a break for a few years, I returned to my passion for writing in 2013 and since then I have been regulary publishing books (alone or in collaboration) – expanding my SF & F repertoire to crime and romance genres.
